Natural Architecture Mass Piedra (working title)
Guided by a timeless Spirit, Mass Piedra explores the soul of natural stone architecture—an annual gathering in Spain where master builders and emerging voices redefine innovation through ancient craft.
Set within the storied landscape of Spain, this cinematic journey follows a community of apprentices, architects, and master engineers as they gather to reimagine architecture through stone. Exploring classical techniques and forward-thinking strategies—stereotomy, post-tensioned masonry, and sculptural load-bearing forms—Mass Piedra becomes more than a conference: it is a ritual of rediscovery.
Tradition and innovation collide in this tactile celebration of material. Stone, with its foreign strength and latent ecstasy, becomes a character in itself. Echoing Bernini’s Ecstasy of Teresa, the film invites us to lose ourselves in the sensual, sustainable poetry of form—raising enduring questions about architecture’s future, and our own place within it.

Composer: David Mrakpor Partnership with Rosal Stone This debut feature film by G O K E — is a documentary that captures a profound sense of wonder, exploring a transition in construction, a return to natural stone based methods, away from concrete, and reminiscent of materials used to build cathedrals.
At the heart of this story is Rosal Stone, a construction company in Murcia, Spain, championing this shift within the industry. As a London-based Documentarian and qualified Stonemason, G O K E was granted access to document their innovative work.
Recently, a small team of three traveled to Spain with a small to film intial sequences. Based primarily in London, the team aim to merge spirituality with soundscapes to tell this story. Drawing on his MFA from UCL’s Creative Documentary program, G O K E has learned to weave creative techniques into nonfiction filmmaking. Here science becomes fiction. An approach complemented by the collaboration with jazz composer, David M. who has generously agreed to work on this project.
